So I'm a newbie and was wondering what kind of additives I should consider for making 464 a little easier to work with.
I've read that one tbsp of beeswax per pound helps with smoother tops..is there anything else I should consider? TIA!!!
You can try a spoon of crisco shortening.......it's supose to help smooth out the candle...and it's made from soybeans...so your not adding a chemical additive to your product...
What temp are you pouring at? like the other poster said it could be your pour temp...and if your heating your wax up to 170, that is too high in my opinion...I never let my wax get that hot.
But i compact and highly reliable, Dell LTO-2 Data Cartridges are an ideal solution to high-volume backup and archiving requirements. I use the 464 and I do not add anything to it. I have very smooth tops all the time. What are your heating temp, pour temp etc? The temp is probably what is causing the tops to not be smooth.
