wax prices

Hello everyone! I am new to this site and have jjust started making soy wax candles. I love making thm, but I am almost out of wax that I purchased as a kit on ebay. I was wondering if anyone could give me a good website that has cheap prices on the wax. I am also having trouble getting my candles to smell strong. I want them to be very fragrant like Yankee brand candles. the instructions say to use 1 ounce of scent oil per lb of wax, but this is just not doing the trick... Any suggestions??? Thank you in advance for all input.

Wax

I get my wax from Cajuncandles.com. It's about 16.50 per 10 lbs. and about 13.00 UPS Ground Shipping..I'm looking for someone cheaper too!

Fragrance Oil

I use 1.5 oz per lb and not liquid oz, but by weight...if you put in too much the wax will not hold it and it will surface to the top and you will have wet spots.

Also, some scents are just not going to be as strong as others...What scent did you purchase?

I find scents like Coconut Cream Pie to be very light and I recomend to my customers if they buying this scent for a large room to buy more then 1 because it's just not a strong scent...at least not the one I have.. It's better for a small office, half bath etc...

The cheapest place that I

The cheapest place that I have found so far for wax is Lonestar Candle. Also, where do you purchase your fragrance oil? I purchase mine from Lonestar Candle. I have also purchased fragrance oil from Candle Science and there is a difference. The oil from candle science is thinner and the fragrance from Lone Star is thick just like cooking oil.
