Hi I have been making Soy Wax tealights for over a year but lately when they burn to the end there is a massive flame and the container is burnt black. I haven't changed anything. Using the same wicks. Any idea on what is happening.
Hi everyone, I am relatively new to this forum, but I have some background in making soy candles, so I have this comment to add.
For the sake of safety, it is best not to burn “any” candle in a glass container down to the very bottom. As a rule of thumb, you should stop when the melted wax is within a ½ “ of the container bottom. Burning lower can put excessive heat on the glass, and it could shatter as a result. Not only could this be a fire hazard, but it could place your furniture at risk of damage.
My other question, is do you vary the fragrance that you use?
