From what I can gather, soy wax is hydrogenated soy bean oil. How do they manage to hydrogenate the oil and still maintain the "naturalness" of the product? Generally, natural products can only undergo physical processing that does not involve any chemical reactions. Is the hydrogenation accomplished via fractionation, as they do for fractionated coconut oil?
The issue is whether or not the Natural Products Association will accept soy wax as natural. I want to have ammunition ready before I approach them
