Scenting with EO's-PANIC

So happy to see this site is up.
I desperately need to get the scenting right using EO's in my soy wax. I am starting to PANIC after 6 months of test burning and my small savings for this soy candle venture nearly gone. I need to have some ready to sell now.
I cannot afford to get it "wrong" in my testing any longer.
Blueflower Soy Candles, as well as Jazzy Girl mentioned using carrier oils along with their essential oils in the wax. I did not know that carrier oils were also used when using the EO's to scent wax. Which Carrier Oil do you use with the wax and how much?
I was mixing in the EO's and pouring at low temps, but with no success . I read somewhere onliine that EO's should be mixed in at a higher temp. or they may not "bind" with the wax. I am now testing that out (though I read somewhere else that at a higher temp the oils may evaporate?????). I am now trying mixing in my EO's at 170 and am pouring at 100-95. I am just today testing a 5 oz rose absolute that was done that way, and I actually think I might smell something! :-)
Anyways, what sort of carrier oils do you use in your wax along with your EO's??
To 1 lb. soy wax I have recently tried and am now testing 1/4-1/2 oz EO to 1 lb wax, adding EO at 170 and pouring at 100-95.
It is extremely frustrating since every source says something different!!
I cannot afford to go through the EO's in this way.
Has anyone else conquered this scenting successfully with EO's yet?? I would suspect that you have had success Blueflower since you are selling them.
I would appreciate your help greatly.......I need to make a go of this and do have craft fairs booked this Spring wth no candles ready that I want to put my tag on (I don't sell online....I live in the UK)!
HELP and THANKS!
Shawn

1/2 oz sounds very low from

1/2 oz sounds very low from what I've seen. This has been my problem. I need to get the damn ratios right, and it almost seems essentials are too weak to make this work. I wish everything wasn't so synthetic these days. If you look at my first post I mentioned the idea of adding the oil into holes made into the wax and then covering that up with more wax, it's something I heard works...I'm not so sure though.

shawn's problem

OK, I don't think you are using enough FO for the wax. What kind of wax are you using? I use GB464 and my ratio is 1 oz-1-1/2 oz. of oil per pound of wax. Depends on the oil itself. Hope this helps.
