Needing FO Help!!!!!!!

Hi Everyone,
I have been trying to make soy candles now for almost 4 months. I think I finally have the wicks, wax and jars down pat, but now my problem is fragrant oils.

I am using eco wicks with eco soya 135 wax and golden brands 464 wax with 8 ounce, 16 ounce and 32 ounce square jars with rounded tops.

I have tried Candle Science, Just Scents and Just by nature scents but none of them are very strong. I can smell them but the hot throw isnt very good at all. The cold throw is ok. I am wanting to find a supplier with exceptionally strong scents.

I use to buy soy candles from a company online and their tarts and candles were so strong that I could smell them through my whole house. I also did not even have to light some of them when they were in my bedroom. I have not found any scents so far that are working like this.

I heat the wax to 185 then add 1 teaspoon of Fractioned coconut oil then add 1 to 1.5 ounces of FO (depending on if I already tried 1 ounce in a previous candle) if I did then I put in 1.5 ounces. I then wait and pour at 125. I generally let them cure for one week then light them and time them for 30 minutes, then every hour to check my wicks and melt pool etc.... for test burning.

Any suggestions here would be very much appreciated. Thank you all for your help. I am getting so frustrated with all of my candles I have made so far.

FO

I seem to have good luck with Wellington Fragrance. Good throw and a lot of choices.

I am very new to soy candle

I am very new to soy candle making, but most things I've read online say that you should add the fragrance at a lower temp, or the fragrance will bind with the wax permanently and not throw a scent. I read that 130 degrees is a good point to add the FO. I just made my first batch yesterday with this method and haven't burned them yet...hopefully it'll work out. That's my 2 cents worth, hope it helps.

aboyn3girls is right. Good

aboyn3girls is right. Good fragrance oils are expensive though, if you're buying "budget" oils you will never get a good throw no matter what temperature you mix them at.
