Hi Karyn,
Thanks for your email and your visit! Soy wax is basically hydogenated soy oil, which can be microwaved. You will need to keep an eye on it though. When it melts you should take it out of the mircowave. I have never had any problems microwaving soy wax!

I generally watch the wax fairly close when microwaving it... stirring every 2 minutes or so. I will usually nuke the soy wax in a 32 oz pyrex. Just keep an eye on it... it can get pretty hot if you aren't careful!

melting wax
This is the first time I have ever heard about melting wax in the microwave. Is there a difference verses heating the wax in a presto fryer? How do you know how long to microwave for and what temp. does the wax reach when microwaving? Just curious!!
