Beeswax in Soy

Hi,
I have been experimenting with adding beeswax to soy wax. You can add 5% all the way to 30%. I wanted to try adding beeswax because I found the scent throw not as strong as I would like and did not want to add anything unnatural. I already add crisco or fractioned coconut oil to my soy wax, but thought beeswax would also help with the scent throw.

I have tried 5%, 10%,20% and 30%. What I am finding out is shocking to me? For one, all the tarts and candles cave in the middle. Another problem I am running into is the scent throw has gotten so bad that I can not even smell them anymore. The other thing that shocked me the most was I thought beeswax would help them burn slower which is not the case.

I am ready to give up on trying to add beeswax. I would love to hear other peoples success stories on adding beeswax to soy.

Soy & Beeswax don't mix

I've pretty much found the same thing as jbruner7. We experimented with adding beeswax to our soy candles and all it did was make a candle with less throw, and they burned faster than normal. We used up to 40% beeswax in one candle and it pretty much fell apart on us. Just use natural soy wax and leave out the beeswax.
