Is it still natural?

I have recently undertaken the art of soywax candle making and absolutely love it-my whole family does.
My question is if the wax is soy (all natural) and I add a "fragrance" that is in liquid form that of which I am not sure how it is made, can I still claim these are all natural and safe?

Hi Rob!

Thanks for your post and your visit! It depends on the fragrance you are adding. Most candle fragrances are "manufactured fragrance oil" or "synthetic fragrance oil". These oils are basically a unique combination of aromatic chemicals.

If you are going the "all natural" route, look into essential oils. These oils are derived from the botanical the fragrance represents.... i.e. orange essential oil comes from oranges and has a strong orange scent.
