Soy Wax Candle Forum - Online resource for soy candle makers

Hello all, this is my first ever post on this forum hope it works!

I have wanted to get in to candle making for a long time and have decided to take the plunge now in prep for xmas and giving home made gifts. I think I'd like to make soy wax candles and have found this site http://www.4candles.co.uk/index.html which looks good. The problem is I dont have a "recipe" for lack of a better word, or formula to follow, and I dont know how much wax to order to make the candles I want to make?

I'd like to make around 20 candles and I will be scouring charity shops and putting them in smallish china bowls, I do want bowls not tea cups but to give you an idea of size I am thinking of china tea cup size x20 to begin with. Plus wooden wicks. I will experiment a little bit with scent and colour as well although I found some great deals on scent bottles on ebay I thought I might try?

So basically to make roughly 20 candles of that size how much wax should I order? I am looking to buy on the 28th (payday!) so am pricing everything up now so I know exactly what to expect. Also could someone please give me instructions? I have a double boiler thing, stainless steel, that I'll be using.
