How much is everyone selling their 8oz. candles for?

Just curious, I'm new to making candles and trying to figure everything out. Also, I guess I should ask how much profit do you make from the sale of each candle?
Hi, In general a retail markup is 2.5 to 3 times the cost. If a 8 oz. candle costs you 1.50 to make, then 4.50 would be an aproximate selling price. If it costs 2.50 to make then 7.50 and so on. I have seen 8 oz. jelly jar candles sell from 1.50 to 10.50. You also must consider where you are selling them. On Ebay it seems only the least expensive ones sell well. At a home candle party you can make more. At craft fairs you must be competitive with others selling the same thing. We ourselves have very good 8oz. jelly jar sales with a 7.50 each or 3/20.00 price point at home parties. Hope this helps. redmaple
