I am making candles using EcoSoya Pure 100% soy wax and have tried several combinations of heat, fragrance and color; and am still experiencing cracks in my candles.
You can see hair line cracks through the vase along the sides of the candles.
What am I doing wrong?
I use 12 oz of soy wax, 3 ml of fragrance, 10 drops of color and poured at 135 degrees…..
Any suggestions
Thanks :(
HELP!!!! Soy Wax Container Candles - the wax is cracking
I'm having the same problem using another wax. I don't know if this is the key, but I've found that if the top cools too quickly, they crack. I'm now keeping the environment much warmer and the candles are not cracking at all or just very, very fine surface crack that are not that noticeable.
HELP!!!! Soy Wax Container Candles - the wax is cracking
I do not use EcoSoya, so I cannot help you; but you need to verify that it is container wax and not pillar/votive wax. What I did notice is that you measure your wax by weight (I assume) and your fragrance by volume. Both should be measured by weight. Sorry I cannot be of more help  .
