im making candles in glass, i use one pound of soy to one oz of scent. & when i light it up to burn i can't smell the scent at all.....im i not added enough scent or what...
i made another one this time i waited for the wax too cool down to around 120 & added my scent then waited and poured..my melt pool goes from side to side my glass jar opening which is about 2 1/2 inches ..& this i can smell...
You could be burning the scent. If the scent is real strong when you are making the candles, try lowering the temperature before you add the scent and pour the scent just before you pour the wax in the containers. I was having the same problem. Newby mistake.

you are adding enough scent. Does it have a cold throw? (can you smell it cold?) If it does and you're not smelling it when lit, try a different wick.
wick for heat throw optimization
Is there a formula for selecting a wick that will increase the heat throw?
