Help needed to make Soy Tarts

Hope this isn't a silly question for the group  --- I have been making soy candles for a while. I want to try making Soy Tarts now. Is this basically the same process as making the candles only using tart molds or can I just use a small muffin pan? I can't seem to find a recipe either, can anyone help? Thanks! :)

just made some tarts.... turned out great

Just made some and tested them tonight..... all I did was use pure soy and added 1/4 tsp vybar to the mix, using the 1oz per lb scent ratio, molded up really nice in some metal molds I have, made some out of some gylcerin soap molds too that were plastic, just stuck them in the fridge for an hour after molding and they popped right out. With the vybar they stayed really firm until put on the warmer, then the scent throw was excellent, have had one 2.5 oz burning for 6 hours now and it's still throwing scent. Hope that helps, I'm new to all of this too....

Help needed to make Soy Tarts

I have made tarts with ecosoya advanced, ecosoya pillar/votive blend, and EL millenium and EL votive blend and they all work fine.

I have poured into throwaway aluminum muffin tins, mini non stick muffin tins, ice cube trays, soap molds, and candy molds.

I have not had any problems with any of it, its a good way to use up that last bit of wax for me!

Help needed to make Soy Tarts

Hi!! Alittle late with my answer for this question...
I make soy tarts, and I use a Wilton Mini Muffin Tin. It has about 24 holes, and I just use a little bit of vegetable oil, pour in my wax, let it set up, pop it in the freezer for a minute or two, and they dump right out. Perfect every time. The Mini Muffin Tin makes nice tarts, and it is $6.95 at Wal-Mart. (Hope I can post that here!!!)

Good Luck,
~Kristen~

You may need to use a votive blend. I'm going to be trying this soon with the NV'Soy votive blend. I hope it works!
