I tried making a French Vanilla Candle today and the color didn't turn out good at all. I use liquid dye and but I also use uv inhibitor and my vanilla candle turned out more like split pea soup. What can i do??
I don't know why you use UV inhibitor, unless you are selling your candles outside in the sun. You shouldn't use additives unless you really need them. Anyway, I use the ivory color from www.candlescience.com with only a drop of color per pound my french vanilla comes out perfect. You can see my french vanilla at my website www.lynnscountrycandles.com I hope this helps you.
Good Vanilla Color
I use color chips but mixing just a lil bit of yellow makes a pretty creamy yellow, i would compare to french vanilla ice cream!
