Soy Wax Candle Forum - Online resource for soy candle makers

I am new to your forum, but I didn't see this listed when I did a search.
I have a bird and only use soy candles right now & I want to start making my own as well. Do I need to avoid any of the fragrances or essential oils when making soy candles? I don't want to lose or make my little buddy sick or worse!!
