Soy Wax Candle Forum - Online resource for soy candle makers

Greetings!
I'm new to candle making, and have a question about resins in fragrance. I would like to adapt a recipe I found for amber butter to fragrance my first batch of candles, and one of the ingredients is elemi resin. Has anyone used elemi resin in their fragrance recipes before? The recipe specifically states not to use elemi essential oil (no reason is given). Is it advisable? Any problems I should be aware of?
