Ecosoya CB Advanced

Hi all,

I have been having difficulty with my Ecosoya wax.

I made about 50 candles yesterday and they all produced wet spots.

I know there are a lot of factors that can influence this.

Melt at approx 150 - 160F
Add Dye and F/O
Cool to 110 - 100 and pour
Container NOT pre heated
Only 1 pour was required

After about 3 hrs the wax starts to pull away from the container. The top is nice and smooth with little white residue.

I've also used GB 464 but wasn't impressed with that as it created voids in my candles but I think it had better glass adhesion.

I read somehwere that people use Steric acid. Should I be adding steric acid to my Ecosoya to give better Glass Adhesion? If so how much.

ANYONE USING ECOSOYA CB ADVANCED LOOK HERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Found this information which would probably explain alot for alot of people.

http://www.ngiwax.com/cb-instructions

Here is the extract from the website

"EcoSoya™ Container waxes are all one-pour soywaxes requiring no additives that result in a smooth surface. CB-135 and CB-Pure Soy have excellent container adhesion while CB-Advanced Soy is designed to contract slightly away from the container"

So there you go, Advanced is designed to shrink a little !!!
