ecosoya???? anybody use this?? some tips on how it performs

has anyone used ecosoya advanced? i just ordered it for container candles, anyone that has some tips on it ???? says it will not frost!!! we will see!!!
Perhaps it is the wick although I have tried several different types of wicks with all the same problem. I do have a primed papercore 60-44-18 for 3-4" pillar. I will try the wick you suggested. If I could understand how to post a picture, I am sure that would help but I can't figure that out yet.
I am not having any burn problems with the ecosoya pillar blend . The only problem was cracking during set up. I fixed that by lowering my pour temp, heating the wax more slowly, and warming up my room a little. I use a medium cotton wick from www.thesoyscentsational.com in 3 inch pillars. They hold their shape well for about the first half of the candle then the sides burn mostly down during the second half. No drips or spills. People really like them. I'm sorry, I don't know about splits that occur during burning. Anybody out there have any experience with this? redmaple
We like ecosoya pb and ecosoya cb135, have not tried advanced because these two work so well. Please post your results with ecosoya advanced- just curious! Happy and safe candlemaking redmaple www.tootsiescandles.com
How do your pillars burn with the ecosoya pb? I use that also and my pillars crack and spill wax after a few burns, doesn't seem to matter what size pillar or wick used. Any suggestions that you could share would be greatly appreciated.
i have read where some people are having problems getting the scent to throw in the adv. have you had trouble with this?
Not at all, that wax throws really good both cold and hot...but if you're not happy with the throw and you want to stay with natural wax, try adding a little (10% or less!) palm wax. Palm wax throws really, really well in my opinion
I love Ecosoya Advanced CB...just wish it didn't cost so much with shipping...can't find anyone close who carries it. It doesn't frost and has a pretty good adhesion
thanks for the info and yes any tips on the "craft show world" would be great!!!! i tried the advanced ( a sample candle) and it was smooth and creamy!!! i think i will like it!!! i am going to try out the cb135 this weekend!!! i hope candle sales pick up in the fall!!!
Hi, I would start with the recommended tempertures, then adjust if needed. So many factors go into what temp to pour at: the room temp, the fragrance added, the jar temp etc... Kudos on your upcoming craft show. We had our first last year and it was a big success. We were very blessed to have had well placed tables, easy to read signs, hard to resist pricepoints and friendly salespeople. Sometimes everything just goes right. I hope the same for you. Let me know if you need any craft show tips... I am no expert, but I am happy to share what I have learned. Happy and safe candlemaking! redmaple
thank you so much!!! I feel better now since I just bought 50 pounds of it!!! hahah any special tips you have found when pouring containers? should i pour cooler/ warmer? or just follow the recommened instructions.... every site says something different!!!! i can't wait to try it!!! I am doing a craft show in october, so i have some time to play around with wax... thanks again!!!!
This wax produces consistently beautiful candles, tho I am having problems with hot throw. I am currently awaiting a new shipment of FO's from a different supplier. I have found that pouring at 125 for 16oz canning jars turn out perfect looking each and every time. So far, I prefer the HTP wicks over the ECO but will be trying the LX next-still not happy with wick burn yet.
