Hello I have made my first Soy Candle and it worked out very well. I made it in a glass about 3inches high. However, when I lit it it burned down the wick slowly and releasing fragrance but burned down in a shallow well melting only the wax directly around the wick. the wick is about gone now but most of the candle is still there. Any suggestions are very welcome
Wick
The wick is too small for the diameter of the container it sounds like & depending on how much is left around the outside will determine how many wick sizes you will need to go up. Also, if you do have the correct wick, are you at least buring the candle 1 hour per inch of diameter? Always burn your candles until they create a full melt pool or you could cause the candle to tunnel and it might not have anything to do with it having an improper wick.

I'm new to candle making, but
I'm new to candle making, but what you are seeing is called tunneling. Usually this can be fixed by using a larger wick.
Good luck!
